LEGARD LACE
Kindly donated to the Bruce Fine Papers archive by Lady Legard of Scampston Hall, this delicate 19th Century floral design displays a range of print techniques within the same pattern: trellis, pin dots, geometrical elements and floral tracery. A stylised naturalistic form and excellent example of Victorian design that is traditionally reproduced as a hand block print.
