GEORGIAN KNOT
Thanks to King George III’s (1760 - 1820) particular interest in the arts, wallpaper became the preferred method of interior decoration. Wealthy Georgians weren’t afraid to use colour in their interior design schemes either as shown by the original Georgian Knot which was found with a bright green ground, blue pin dots and a cream overprint in a Norfolk Inn.
