Gesuiti

The interior of Santa Maria Assunta in Venice gives the impression of a church clothed in damask.

Grey and green marble is inlaid on the walls and pillars of the building, in less important areas paint effects have been used as a convincing imitation of marble inlay.

Construction was begun on the church in 1714 and completed in 1729 and is more usually known in Venice as the ‘Gesuiti’

Please note that all of our products are hand produced
using traditional methods and water based mediums.
Subsequently they are delicate and over wiping
the surface may remove areas of print.
